Bantam B tournament a success

The Ponoka Stampeders, Red Deer Snipers, Sherwood Park Predators, St. Albert Vikings, Red Deer Young Guns, Fort McMurray Bulldogs, Blackfalds Bulldogs, and Edmonton Stealth were in Ponoka from Jan. 23 to 25 to participate in the Bantam B tournament and showcase some great hockey skills for the many fans who came to watch

The Ponoka Stampeders, Red Deer Snipers, Sherwood Park Predators, St. Albert Vikings, Red Deer Young Guns, Fort McMurray Bulldogs, Blackfalds Bulldogs, and Edmonton Stealth were in Ponoka from Jan. 23 to 25 to participate in the Bantam B tournament and showcase some great hockey skills for the many fans who came to watch.

The tournament was broken down into an A final, B final, C final and D final.

The A final went to the Red Deer Young Guns, the B Final went to the Blackfalds Bulldogs, the C final went to the Red Deer Snipers and D final went to the Sherwood Park Predators.

Each team was guaranteed three games and even though the Ponoka Stampeders were not successful, they played competitively and came close to a win each time they were on the ice.

The player prize draws and $100 boards were widely received and a special thanks goes out to all the sponsors and the parents of the Ponoka team for making this tournament an overall success.

Ponoka’s next game will take place at 2:45 p.m. against Delburne in Ponoka. Upcoming tournaments will be taking place in Blackfalds from February 6 to 8 and in Josephburg from March 27 to 29.
