Team roping results winter team roping series first day

The first of the Ponoka Winter Team Roping Series kicked off at the Calnash Ag Event Centre.

Held Jan. 7, a total of 151 teams entered with each team getting four rounds to boost their average. The next two days in the series for the month are Jan. 22 and then Jan. 28.

First: Logan Kary (header) and Keely Bonnett (heeler) 31.71 on four with $1,110 payout (each)

Second: Kenton Fawcett and Keely Bonnett 35.23 on four with $918 payout

Third: Dustin Round and Riley Warren 37.98 on four with $727 payout

Fourth: Cody Lapointe and Kody Potts 38.20 on four with $536 payout

Fifth: Brett Buss and Dirk McCarroll 38.71 on four with $344 payout

Sixth: Bailey Bearspaw and Kagen Schmidt 49.98 on four with $191 payout
