Century team ropers compete for championship

The annual Alberta Century Team Roping Championships were held at the Ponoka Stampede Grounds last weekend. Seventy-two roping teams were registered and 35 teams for the draw pot.

10 Head Average winners were:

1. Arnold Fletcher (Wainwright) and Brien Mouly (Viking) — 155.26/10, $1,312.75/team and championship buckles sponsored by Blackland Ranch, Fort Saskatchewan

2. Jeremy Komives (Thorsby) and Lester Robinson (Camrose) —117.94/9, $1,050.20/team and spurs

3. Frank Mitchell and Brien Mouly — 118.53/9, $787.65/team

4. Troy Helmig and Garry Fecho —102.77/8, $630.12/team

5. Troy Helmig and Jim Berry —112.58/8, $525.10/team

6. Mike McNabb and Roland Routhier —81.35/7, $420.08/team

7. Griff Gaudin and Garry Hart — 83.89/7, $315.06/team

8. Al McKenzie and Trevor Helmig — 86.28/7, $210.04/team.
