Registration for the upcoming Gators summer swim season is set to open right away. Mass registration is scheduled for March 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Aquaplex. As always, the club is excited to welcome back returning swimmers from prior years. Additionally, new swimmers are always welcome.
Swimmers who are new to the club should be ready for a quick dip in the pool to meet the coaches and show their skills. New registrants should bring a cheque and their bathing suit and towel. New Gators must be 4 years old as of April and be able to swim at least 10m unassisted.
Each year, Gators receive excellent coaching, lots of pool time, small group work and a free swim cap.
The Ponoka Gators are one of the top small teams in the province and each year a number of swimmers attend swim meets regularly including the culminating regional and provincial swim meets. Practices run Monday-Friday and range from twice per week to five swims per week.
