The indoor soccer season is coming to an end. This winter 39 soccer players practiced and improved their soccer skills every Wednesday at the Ponoka Elementary Gym. It is the second year that Ponoka and District Soccer Association organized indoor soccer and it was a great success. For so many children, who love soccer, the outdoor season is too short. Now they have the opportunity to play their favorite sport year round. Thus far there have been no leagues for Ponoka to join to make indoor soccer more competitive but, with soccer gaining more popularity all over Alberta, there is a good chance that might happen in the future. In the meantime our indoor players improve their soccer skills in the winter so they can be better players come springtime. The outdoor season will start the first week of May.
