Junior high track results

he Wolf Creek Junior High School championship was held at Ponoka Composite High School on June 5 and some local schools did very well. Diamond Willow Middle School and PCHS combined for the ‘3J’ category and competed against Lacombe Junior High school and placed second.

The Wolf Creek Junior High School championship was held at Ponoka Composite High School on June 5 and some local schools did very well.

Diamond Willow Middle School and PCHS combined for the ‘3J’ category and competed against Lacombe Junior High school and placed second.

St.Augustine Junior high team won the ‘2J’ category.

Isatu Fofana from DWMS broke four records in the 100m , 200m , triple jump and long jump.

Jody Carothers who organized the event was very pleased with how smoothly it ran.

“It went pretty well,” said Carothers. “It is the third year that we have hosted it and we continue to work on things and tweaked them. It was a great time by the kids and everyone had a lot of fun.”

The aggregate winners are as follows; Grade 7 girls-Amy Lank and Alyssa Goodwin from DWMS, Grade 8 girls-Isatu Fofana from DWMS, Grade 8 boys-Tanner Bragg, Grade 9 boys Jesse Raugust and Colin Horan from PCHS. -Results provided by Jody Carothers
