It was a goaltending battle when the Ponoka bantam B Locos took on the Hobbema Toros.

Between the two tenders, 55 saves were made.

Zach Atsinger made 24 stops for the Locos while Dominik Buffalo was equally as impressive for the Toros, making 31 stops.

When the final buzzer sounded it was the Locos on top, grabbing the win with a 6-4 victory.

The Locos did most of their damage in the first period, netting four goals and taking a 4-1 lead into the middle frame.

In the second, the Toros fought back, cutting the deficit in half, scoring the only goal of the period to make it 4-2.

In the third, both teams exchanged goals, securing a 6-4 the victory for the Locos.

Captain Logan Elliot had two goals in the contest for the Locos while Zane Bennett had a goal and two assists and Brennon Elder, Jeremy Key and Carter Makofka chipped in with singles.

The Toros got markers from Dreyton Ermineskin, who had a pair of goals and singles from Kashton Bull and Brandon Threefingers.
