Leisure Lanes sent two girls’ teams to the 4 Steps of Stardom provincial bowling tournament in Calgary in March.
The bantam team, consisting of Brooklyn Budd, Cassidy Burnett, Natasha Kym, Angel Nepomuceno and coached by Kelly Budd, finished fifth in the province in the scratch division.
The second team was made up of a bantam, junior and senior bowler — Ariana Ahtila, Alexandra Wynnychuk, Cheyenne Gregorchuck and coached by Linda Seitz — and bowled 450 pins over their combined averages to win silver at the competition.
The presentations were held at the Coast Plaza Convention Centre where more than 900 people were in attendance to see the girls get their medals.
