Cow poke keepaway: Around 100 competitors from around Alberta took part in the opening event of the Northern Alberta Reined Cow Horse Club season over the weekend at the Calnash Ag Event Centre. The men, women and youth riders participated in various categories to demonstrate their skills in moving and separating cows as well as using reins to control their horse.
