Wild winter roping: Paul Bonnett gets the first rope on this steer to set up heeler partner Dirk McCarroll during the final event in the Winter Team Roping Series March 11 at the Calnash Ag Event Centre. Close to 170 teams competed in the series finale with championship buckles and an extra $1,000 going to the winning pair on top of the jackpot. Year-end prizes included blankets and a saddle for the high point winner.
