Handling the Ranch: Twelve teams of four competed in the annual Ranch Rodeo Sept. 29 at the Calnash Ag Event Centre that included five separate timed events that simulated actual work on a ranch. The cattle doctoring event saw teams separate and rope a steer, perform two simple tasks then release it, which was followed by cattle sorting of specific cattle in order. Cattle branding along with cattle loading and a wild saddle horse race were also featured.
