The Camrose-based Battle River Shock midget football squad played beat up on St. Albert April 13 in Lacombe 43-13 and then were edged out April 19 in their final home game 25-24 by Lloydminster. The regular season ends May 4 followed by the playoffs. The Shock, who play in the Capital District Minor Football League, have a total of 11 Ponoka players that are: Luke Bonnett, Tade Tonneson, Jaden Young, Owen Vandermeer, Anthony Buffalo, Curtis French, Parker Rice, Kaden Thomason, Connor Stiles, Jordan Young and Morgan Gibbs.
