Jason Lemieux, header, and Sam Johnson, heeler, were the champions of the No. 8 (WSTR), held in Ponoka at the Calnash Ag Event Centre from Aug. 14 to 16.

The pair had a time of 48.74, nearly a 2.5 second margin ahead second place ropers Allan Savage and Rod McFadden, who finished with a time of 51.19.

The short go champions were Clint Sandercock and Brett Zieffle, coming in at 38.33.
