Ponoka Bantam Broncs clean up spring litter

The Bantam Broncs rolled up their sleeves to give back to the community on April 6, walking around downtown and some of the town’s public parks picking up litter revealed by the melting snow.

Players and team staff alike picked up trash for a couple of hours.

“Not only was it another opportunity for our team to hang out and bond as a group, it was a chance to give back to our town,” said head coach Todd Lewis.

“The Bantam Broncs are able to operate and thrive thanks to the massive amounts of support from our community, its citizens, and its businesses,” he said.

“Without the massive amount of support we receive from our community, the Bantam Broncs wouldn’t exist. Our cleanup is a small way to give back and say thanks.”

After the cleanup, the team enjoyed some pizza together.
