Assistant Coach of the Year: Josh Weibe.

Most Sportsmanlike Team of the Year: Ponoka Bantam Broncs.

Each year, the teams in the vote for opposing teams they deem most worth of being named most sportsmanlike. The Ponoka Bantam Broncs earned this honour for the four past seasons in a row (a feat never accomplished by any other team in the league).

The Bantam Broncs are absolutely honoured by this award. While wins, touchdowns, and championships are important and something to strive for, they have never been the primary goal of the Broncs football program.

Since the Broncs football program was created in 2007 by Scott MacGregor, the program’s main goal is to set kids up for success in life, not just football.

Focus is placed on constant growth and improvement, learning how to push oneself through discomfort and adversity, playing with ceaseless effort and heart, and always “Lifting our Brothers.”

The Bantam Broncs had so many players worthy of being named all-stars and were very grateful to be able to send eight players this year.

The amount of all-stars a team can name is based on the team’s final standings.

Since the Broncs finished second overall, we were able to send eight all-stars and name the Offensive MVP.
