On Monday, the Ponoka native was named to Canada’s long track speed skating team for the fall World Cup circuit.

Pearman is one of 18 skaters who will compete for Canada in four ISU World Cup events, Obihiro, Japan (November 10-12), Beijing, China (November 17-19), Stavanger, Norway (December 1-3) and Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Poland (December 8-10).

The 27-year-old won silver in the 1000m race in a time of 1:16.43 at the Canadian Long Track Championships on Oct. 6. Pearman competed in the 2022 Beijing Olympics last year, along with her first ISU World Sprint Championships.
