The Edmonton Mustangs defeated the Battle River Shock 30-8 May 19 to win the CDMFA Midget Tier I Football Championship at Edmonton’s Foote Field.
The Shock led 8-1 in the second quarter thanks to a 64-yard pass from Cole Stewart (Lacombe) to Tylor Henry (Camrose).
But the Shock trailed 14-8 at halftime.
The Mustangs were the only team to have defeated the Shock this season.
