Shock stay hot in Tier II

Tier II Midget Football League play at Clarke Park Wednesday evening saw the Battle River Shock run their undefeated streak to three and put up their second straight shutout with a 7-0 victory over the Edmonton Seahawks.

Nolan Meagher, a Grade 9 student from Lacombe and first year Midget player, had an unbelievable first half with two interceptions, one which he returned 42 yards for the games only major. He also picked up a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and an 11-yard quarterback sack.

The Shock defence contributed 7 turnovers in the game.

The Shock (Tier II) are in action again, this Saturday, 4 p.m. at Clarke Park against the Mill-Woods Grizzlies.

The Shock (Tier I) will play their next game, this Saturday at Clarke, a 1:30 p.m. start against the Edmonton Chargers.
