Special awards for a dedicated team: The coach award presented by Stampeder Junior B hockey coach Randy Rook, was awarded to player Bob Goodship for never complaining, perfect attendance and good leadership in this year’s hockey season. The team held its awards night March 19 and awards went to the following players: Klais deWaal, fan favourite; Wayne-Joe Swampy, top defence player; Jarvis Nederlof, top rookie; Kevin Liner, top affiliate; Wyatt Watson, top scorer; Travis Kirchner, most valuable player; Kenton Siegle, Stampeders award for sticking with the team even with other opportunities to play elsewhere; Garret Montour, the Eddie Shore award for the player showing true commitment and strength. Travis Kirchner and Andrew Walker were given jerseys as recognition for their last year with the team.
