Ponoka Ford is bringing Ford Motor Company of Canada’s Drive One 4 UR School program to the Ponoka community in an effort to raise up to $6,000 for St. Augustine School.
For every person who test-drives a Ford vehicle at St. Augustine School on Saturday, Oct. 1, Ponoka Ford and Ford of Canada will donate $20 to the Friends of St. Augustine School Foundation. The funds will go toward a much-needed new playground for the school.
The one-day event will be held in conjunction with a junior girls’ volleyball tournament at the school from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
To contribute to the money raised by Ford, the school also plans to host a barbecue with proceeds going to the new playground.
To participate, visit St. Augustine School between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Participants must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license. There is a limit of one test-drive per household.
