Two players win free tuition to hockey camp at Ponoka tourneys

The Ponoka Minor Hockey Association (PMHA) hosted a pair of home tournaments over the last two weekends for their U11 and U7 teams.

Black Elk Hockey Camp donated free tuition to their camp for two lucky participants in both the U11 and U7 tournaments held in Ponoka during the month of January.

The winners were Ethan Walker from Airdrie Minor Hockey U11 and Jace Kocyba from Ponoka Minor Hockey U7.

After each game played on Friday and Saturday, one player from both participating teams were selected at random and posted on the board.

The grand prize was be drawn from the names on the board and presented on Saturday immediately after the last game of the day. The winners received a certificate for free tuition to the Black Elk Hockey Camp in Ponoka.

Ponoka dates for the Black Elk hockey camp have been confirmed as Aug. 14 to 19, 2022.

The Black Elk Hockey Camp provides off-season instruction to kids across Alberta, and has been for the past 35 years.
