Members of the Ponoka County East District Fire Department were called to the scene of a trailer in flames early morning March 15. Minor injuries in semi vs car collision in Ponoka

Ponoka emergency crews were called to the scene of a collision on Highway 2A

Emergency crews attended a collision between a semi and an SUV Feb. 27 on Highway 2A across from the Calnash Ag Event Centre. Details are not clear but it appears the SUV drove into the northbound lane and collided with the semi. Injuries are believed to be relatively minor. Firefighters with the Ponoka County East District Fire Department were called to a barn fire Feb. 21 in the later morning. Crews were there for several hours before the fire was fully quelled.
