Letter: A tribute to all the staff at Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre

I recently donated to the Palliative Care Unit at the Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre, in memory of my beloved husband Michael Boulay who passed away while in their care on Aug. 28, 2018. My family and I are forever grateful for all the passionate and expert care he received during his final days of his life. He passed away just hours before his 68th birthday.

Letter: To Premier Jason Kenney and AHS

Letter: To Premier Jason Kenney and AHS

There is a lot of concern over doctors having to play God and make choices with COVID-19 patients as this pandemic continues. I do not know why that is such an issue when you have already been playing God with hundreds of people on waiting lists. Some have died, others have gotten so much worse, their lives will never be what it was. My friend has been waiting 17 months and is still waiting. She has gone from being able to live independently to now unable to leave her apartment.

Dear editor,
Letter: Save Heritage Park

Letter: Save Heritage Park

Public opinion that green space should be protected is not a recent political issue. It’s a long term civic value and was key to the original Heritage Park Estates development proposal in 1985. “Heritage” referring to the seniors who built this town, and “Park,” referring to that lovely green grassy public area that all these senior town homes enjoy via their garden gate and open chain link.
