The Ponoka Warriors under-15 (U15) and under-16 (U16) girls volleyball teams held very successful tournaments at St. Augustine School on March 29 and 30 respectively. Both tournaments were six team round robin events with teams from Edson, Calgary, Three Hills, Sylvan Lake, Drumheller, Millet and Lacombe-Bentley

The indoor soccer season is coming to an end. This winter 39 soccer players practiced and improved their soccer skills every Wednesday at the Ponoka Elementary Gym. It is the second year that Ponoka and District Soccer Association organized indoor soccer and it was a great success.

A year of hard work and dedication has earned the Ponoka Bantam A Moose a trip to their provincials March 28 to 30 in Vermilion.

Local cowgirls compete at college finals

The Canadian Intercollegiate Rodeo Association finals will be held at Northlands in Edmonton March 27 to 29 and two cowgirls will represent Ponoka. Casey Crandall will be competing in the barrels and poles and Kendra Carothers will be competing in team roping, breakaway and goat tying.
