I hope you don’t need a plumber. It seems as though there aren’t any available in Ponoka. I phoned the three numbers in the phone book that offered plumbing services. To each I said that I had an emergency and that I needed a plumber to come to my house the same day as my water was turned off.

Dear Editor; I have something on my mind. Something I have done, that was not wrong but none of my business. Sometimes my jaws start flappin’ before my brain clicks into gear.

Dear Editor; How often we see and hear the slogan “Support Our Troops”. How often we are told that Remembrance Day is the day to remember the sacrifices of those who fought to preserve our freedoms.

Dear Editor; The young people of Woodlands Pathfinder and Adventurer clubs would like to thank the residents of Ponoka for their generous support of our annual fall food drive.

Dear Editor; A great big thank-you to the Ponoka Aquaplex staff and volunteers for a terrific “Hallowe’en Howler”!

Dear Editor; You asked a question in your last editorial. Why are less and less people going to the polls? I think it is party politics.

Dear Editor; I think it would be appropriate for Ponoka to pay homage to Chris Churla who recently passed away. He devoted over 20 years of his life here picking up garbage with good humor and no complaint.

Dear Editor; There have been many complaints coming forward about the Catholic School Boards in Edmonton and Calgary advising against giving the HPV shot against cervical cancer to young girls.
